A Quick Overview for the Hasty
Goosehill Sailor 10’6 Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board measures 10’6× 32”× 6” (length× width× thickness) and weighs 20.5 pounds. It has a maximum weight capacity of 440 pounds and comes with everything you need to get on the water.
The Goosehill Sailor 10’6 Inflatable SUP board is an all-around that’s more for recreational paddling, be it cruising, fishing, yoga, short-distance touring, and the likes on calmer waters primarily. The paddle board comes with the following accessories: an adjustable paddle, dual-action hand pump, carrying backpack, coiled ankle leash, repair kit, and finally a removable center fin.
Who and What is the Goosehill Sailor 10’6 Inflatable SUP Board Designed For?
Who: all skill levels paddlers weighing up to 440 pounds (ideally up to around 330 lbs).
What: all-around, mainly for recreational paddling on calmer waters (lakes, calmer rivers, seas, and streams).
The Goosehill Sailor 10’6 Inflatable SUP is ideal for both smaller and bigger paddlers. It has a wide standing platform (32 inches wide) and a maximum weight limit of 440 pounds, making it suitable for even the heavier paddlers (though ideally max paddler weight I’d say would be up to around 330lbs over which it might start to sit too deep in the water making water resistant more prominent and thus lower the performance of the board). But given its length (10’6), the heavier you the shorter you ought to be in order to maintain the same level of handling (more info can be found here: SUP Buying Guide). Additionally, it can accommodate 2 or more paddlers, pets, and accessories as long as the weight capacity isn’t exceeded . The board’s width provides stability, making it easy for beginners and experienced paddlers to handle.
The Goosehill Sailor 10’6 iSUP board is an all-around that is mainly for recreational SUP activities like cruising, some yoga, fishing, short-distance touring, some riding small waves, etc. It is suitable for use on calmer waters, lakes, rivers, and streams but can also handle little chop to some extent.
How Does the Goosehill Sailor 10’6 Inflatable Paddle Board Perform?
The Goosehill Sailor 10’6 Inflatable SUP is mainly:
- Stable
The Goosehill Sailor 10’6 inflatable SUP board’s stability is there for its 32 inches width, squared-off tail, and overall thickness (6 inches) and fairly large fin. With these features, more stability is expected than maneuverability or speed. The board is designed to give paddlers balance and control on the water.
The board is fairly maneuverable as it’s not too long. It might not be super snappy due to its squared-off tail, but it can still make decent turns on the water.
Speed is least achieved with the Goosehill Sailor 10’6 inflatable SUP board due to its width. It can still build up enough speed for tracking as it is not that short of aboard.

Type:
The Goosehill Sailor 10’6 inflatable stand-up paddle board is an all-round that mainly used for recreational SUP activities on flat waters. It can be used by children, teens, and adults regardless of skill level and purpose.
Color:
The inflatable paddle board comes in 2 color variations: blue and green.
Construction:
Goosehill Sailor 10’6 iSUP board is inflatable. This means it is filled with air. It can be inflated through a valve at the rear of the board using a pump. The maximum recommended PSI is 15 but can also be sturdy at 12-14 which is fine. It is a tough and durable when inflated and won’t pop easily like a balloon when it hits something in the water. When deflated, it can be rolled up and packed into the backpack easing the means of storage and transportation.
Length:
It’s 10 feet 6 inches long. Longer boards tend to track better and thus allow for more speed. With this length, the board can build up cruising levels of speed (not racing or long-distance touring speeds).
Width:
This inflatable paddle board is 32 inches wide, making it suitable for both smaller and bigger paddlers. The wider the board, the more stable it tends to be.
Thickness:
Like most inflatable paddle boards, the Goosehill Sailor 10’6 iSUP board is 6 inches thick. Thicker boards tend to feel more stable and sturdy.
Weight of the board:
The board weighs 20.5 pounds. Given its size and design, the board is lightweight. This makes it possible for even petite paddlers to be able to carry it to the water. Transportation from place to place wouldn’t be much of a problem either.
Weight capacity:
Goosehill Sailor 10’6 inflatable SUP board has a maximum weight capacity of 440 pounds. However, it is more ideal for paddlers weighing up to around 330 pounds. Too much weight will make the board sit more than halfway in the water which increases water resistance and thus decrease potential speed build-up.
Materials:
The Goosehill Sailor 10’6 inflatable SUP board is made of drop-stitch core material and a SCE layer reinforcement technology which accounts for the board’s stiffness, durability, and light weight. There’s an additional layer at the rails, and finally a non-slip EVA foam pad on top of the board.
Gooseholl Sailor 10′6 iSUP board is made of:
- single SCE Technology PVC layer
Goosehill Rainbor R is the one with 2 layers, but Goosehill Sailor (current one) seems to only have one layer. I believe they realized in their testing that having double layers of this stuff is a costly overkill for what most people use the board for. However, this one layer is put together using their SCE Technology (Super Construction Enhancement – basically some sort of machine lamination process) which seems to have more or less upped the quality when compared to most other cheaper iSUPs on the market that don’t put so much of their focus into quality control. It otherwise has your typical drop-stitch core and all that. The weight of the board (20.5lbs) indicates there might be more layers, but likely only at the rails will it have multiple layers as that’s usually one of the weakest points of an iSUP.
All in all, it’s a very solid construction and more than fine for recreational paddling on calmer waters. And by the way, it never hurts to take care of your iSUP properly.

2 – carry handle
A carry handle is positioned at the center of the Goosehill Sailor 10’6 inflatable SUP board. It allows you to carry the board when inflated with ease before or after your journey to/from the water. You should not drag the board over hard surfaces, including sand, to avoid damaging it.

What Else Is Included in the Goosehill Sailor 10’6 Inflatable SUP Board Package?
The Goosehill Sailor 10’6 Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Package includes an adjustable paddle, double-action pressure pump, backpack, ankle leash, repair kit, and removable fin.
Adjustable paddle
The board package comes with a 3-piece adjustable aluminum paddle. It is adjustable from 35″ to 98″ with a locking mechanism so it stays in place after adjustment. When the paddle dissembled (broken into 3 pieces), it fits well into the backpack. The paddle will sink after a while if left in the water as it’s made of aluminum.
High pressure pump
The Goosehill Sailor 10’6 inflatable paddle board package includes a double-action pump with a pressure gauge on top of it. The pressure gauge is for measuring the air pressure registered in the board. The recommended PSI is 15, but 12 – 14 is also too. It can be quite a workout especially the last pumps.
Backpack
The package includes a carry backpack that measures 37.4″× 17.7″× 11.8″. It has shoulder straps that make it easy to carry over a distance and adjustable buckles on the sides. The backpack can fit everything that comes with the package including the deflated paddle board and still have extra room for more stuff.
Ankle leash
This is a safety leash that connects you by your ankle to the paddle board while the other end is attached to the D-ring at the rear of the board. It helps you get back on the board quicker when you happen to fall off. In some cases a strong wind could push the board away from you faster than you can swim (SUP safety).
Repair kit
Goosehill Sailor 10’6 inflatable SUP board package also includes a repair kit that comes in an orange tube-like container. It holds a valve wrench and PVC patches to patch up the board when damaged. The valve wrench is used to tighten the inflation valve as it may come a little loose and starts to leak over time.
Removable fin
A detachable fin is included in the Goosehill Sailor iSUP board package. It is the bigger center that helps with tracking and stability on the water. The fin is best attached to the board when it is half way inflated so it locks in securely. A clip is attached to the fin so you don’t lose it in water. You could remove the fin when in shallow waters to avoid damage.
