Fbsport 10’ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Review (2022)

Fbsport 10' Package IllustrationFbsport 10′ iSUP board is an average quality but cheap and simple all-around suitable for average sized paddlers for some recreational paddling. The reported max weight limit is 280lbs, but given the dimensions of the board I’d say the optimal paddler weight limit would be somewhere up to around 240 pounds or less instead.

Paddleboarding is surprisingly enjoyable of an experience as you get to see the water from a new angle all the while having more freedom on it. I find the risk of falling into the water only adds to the experience. And it’s kind of a lower body workout on top of all that. This entry-level board allows you to give those things a try on the cheap.

You can check its price here: Fbsport 10’ iSUP package.

A Quick Overview For the Hasty

The Fbsport 10’ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle board measures: 10’ x 30″ x 6″ (length x width x thickness) and weighs 22 pounds. It has a max weight limit of 280 pounds and comes with everything you need to get on the water.

It is an all-around board apt for cruising, fitness, fishing, and exploring (recreational paddling) in calmer waters. The Fbsport 10’ inflatable stand up paddle board comes with accessory items: a paddle, carry backpack, high-pressure pump, ankle leash, and a removable fin.

Who and What Is the Fbsport 10’ Stand Up Paddle Board Designed For?

Who: lighter and average sized paddlers weighing up to 280 pounds (ideally up to around 220lbs).
What: all-around meant for recreational paddling in lakes, calmer rivers and seas.

The Fbsport 10’ iSUP board is better suited for lighter or average sized paddlers weighing up to around 220lbs, give or take. Although the max weight limit is more than 280 pounds, the design of the board would leave a heavy or very tall paddler feeling unstable on it. The latter would benefit from a wider/longer board.

It’s an all-around, but given the overall quality, it’s better suited for calmer waters, mainly lakes and the like, but also calmer river and seas, surfing smaller waves, etc. Small chop isn’t too much of a problem (unless you were one of the more heavier/taller paddlers).

How Does the Fbsport 10’ Inflatable Paddle Board Perform?

Fbsport 10′ iSUP is mainly:

  • Snappy

It’s a very typical and balanced all-around design, this board, making it feel very responsive and maneuverable while allowing for decent cruising speed. The only problem would be stability, but that’s really only in the case where you weren’t in motion with the board or ended up in chop as a heavy/tall person. It’s not really oriented towards being either fast/stable/maneuverable but rather just a good mix of them all.

What Are the Specifications of the Fbsport 10’ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board?

Specifications of the Fbsport 10’ iSUP board:

  • Type – all-around
  • Color – green, blue, black, purple
  • Construction – inflatable
  • Length – 10’
  • Width – 30”
  • Thickness – 6”
  • Weight – 22 pounds
  • Weight capacity – 280 pounds
  • Materials – drop-stitch inner core, reinforced PVC layer, EVA foam deck pad

The Fbsport 10′ iSUP is an all-around, meaning that in theory it can be used for every SUP activity to some extent, be it touring, fishing, yoga, surfing, etc (mainly cruising, recreational paddling).

This particular board has got 8 different color variations: green, blue, pink, black, purple.

Fbsport 10′ iSUP board is inflatable. That means it can be inflated and deflated. The recommended max PSI is 15, but between 12 to 14 is fine too. The package comes with a pump that has a gauge on top which tends to start showing the air pressure once you pump the board up to around 7 PSI. Such a construction makes these boards fairly light and compact for easier transporting when deflated.

It’s 10 feet long. For average sized paddlers, this is fine, but for considerably taller people it might not be optimal and might want to find something 11 or 12 feet long instead. All-around iSUP boards are generally around 10-12 feet long.

The board is 30 inches wide. This is, again, okay for average sized paddlers, but considerably heavier paddlers might not find it optimal for balance. The latter might want to find something a bit wider, say 31, 32 or even up to 33 inches wide of a board. All-around iSUPs tend to be between 30 and 34 inches wide. For more insights on the stuff: SUP Buying Guide (link opens in a new tab).

Fbsport 10′ iSUP is 6 inches thick which is super common for most iSUPs you come across, especially all-arounds. The thicker the board the more sturdy and solid it feels.

This paddle board weighs approximately 22 pounds (or 10 kilograms). Although there are even lighter boards than this sometimes at a better quality even, 22lbs is also, at least in my opinion, pretty lightweight, all things considered. If the board was too light, it would be too susceptible to winds which would obviously hinder the performance.

Weight Capacity:
The max weight limit is reported to be 280lbs, but given the dimensions of the board, I’d say the ideal weight limit would be up to around 220 or 240 pounds for optimal performance. As such, it’s better suited for average sized paddlers despite what the advertisement says.

The construction of this board is relatively typical to cheaper iSUPs on the market. A single reinforced PVC layer, essentially, that’s surrounding the core which is made of drop-stitch material. Since the rails tend to be the weakest point of any iSUP, this one has only 1 layer there which is might not be too good. And on top of everything is of course the non-slip EVA foam material for you to stand on, the deck pad found on every iSUP, essentially.

What Is Fbsport 10′ Inflatable Paddle Board Made of?

Fbsport 10′ iSUP board is made of:

  • most likely a (reinforced) single layer PVC

There’s your typical drop-stitch core which is surrounded by probably a base cloth layer which is surrounded by a PVC layer which in turn is surrounded by a coating of some sort against UV rays and general deterioration factors. Overall, it seems to be a single layer build, which is not the best, but fine for a board meant for recreational paddling.

The rails, which are the weakest point of an iSUP, seem to be covered by only a single layer of PVC. Depending on the quality of the connection between the top and bottom half at the rails, this can be decent enough or a risk factor instead. Given that there seems to be quite a bit of buyers of this product by now and seemingly none of them have had issues at the rails specifically, it seems that they didn’t just skimp on the construction quality/quality control of the board itself, which is a good sign. But things can always change, so do watch out.

Overall then, I’d say it’s a decent quality board on the cheap for recreational use on calmer waters by average sized paddlers.

What Are the Features of the Fbsport 10’ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board?

Features of the Fbsport 10’ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board:

  1. Bungee cord storage area
  2. Deck pad
  3. Carry handle
  4. Inflation valve
  5. D-ring (1)
  6. Bottom D-ring (1)
  7. Fins

1 – bungee cord storage areaFbsport 10' iSUP Board Features
An elastic bungee cord attached to a couple of D-rings at the nose of the board make up a storage area. They stretch quite a bit so one can store plenty of stuff there.

2 – deck pad
A soft non-slip EVA foam deck pad to stand on when paddling is also located at the middle area of the board.

3 – carry handle
Located at the center of the board is a convenient carry handle. This is where you can lift the board when inflated.

4 – inflation valve
High pressure inflation valve located at the rear of the board. This is where you inflate the board using the pump that’s included with this Fbsport 10′ iSUP package. As was previously mentioned, the max air pressure for the board is 15 PSI, but between 12 to 14 PSI is fine too.

5 – D-ring (1)
Just behind the inflation valve is a D shaped metal ring called D-ring that’s connected to the board. This is used mainly for attaching the ankle leash to the board.

6 – bottom D-ring (1)
At the underside of the board is another D-ring to which is used to tow the board or for attaching a SUP anchor.

7 – fins (3)
There are 3 fins at the bottom of the board. These help with tracking and stability. The bigger center fin is detachable while the 2 smaller side fins are fixed in place. Usually the bigger center fin is removed when paddling in shallow waters where there’s risk of it hitting the rocks below and breaking off. Removing that fin also helps save storage space when deflating and rolling up the board.

What Else Is Included In the Fbsport 10’ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Package?

The Fbsport 10’ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board comes with item accessories that add convenience in paddling adventures. These accessories include an extendable paddle, pump, carrying backpack, ankle leash, and a removable fin.

SUP paddle
A fairly common adjustable 3-piece aluminum SUP paddle come with this package. As such, it fits in the carry backpack with all the rest of the items in the package just nicely. It’s said to float, but my experience with all the rest of 3-piece aluminum paddles has been a little different where it floats only for a brief moment before it fill up and starts sinking anyway. I wouldn’t expect things to be different with this one. Here’s some more info on SUP paddles (link opens in a new tab).

High pressure pump which is just a simple SUP pump on the cheap but gets the job done. The recommended max PSI is 15, but you’ll be fine with 12 to 14 PSI as well. Usually the pumps that come with the cheaper package start showing PSI once you’ve reached 7 PSI or so.

Usually corners are cut somewhere to bring the price of the package low, and so the chances are that the backpack carry bag isn’t of high quality but rather of the usual common one instead. It’s fine for the purpose, but try to handle it gently rather than roughly or you might end up regretting it, especially when it comes to the zipper. You can fit the entire package into it, of course.

Ankle leash
A simple coiled ankle leash to connect to the board for safety. It might not looks like much, but if the winds are strong, in some cases you might not be able to swim as fast as the board drifts away from you, so that’s how it can be useful. And then there’s the rivers with stronger currents where the leash might get stuck behind something and force you under… So make sure to at least skim through this post for more info: SUP Safety (link opens in a new tab).

Detachable fin
Fbsport 10′ iSUP package comes with 3 fins of which 1 is detachable. It’s the bigger center fin which you can remove in shallow waters or when storing the board rolled up to save space.

If you are looking for a stable and durable paddle board for your next vacation, try to check out Fbsport’s 10’ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle board which offers a secure and safe cruising adventure. The board is made with family and pet friendly materials for long-lasting usage.

Since Fbsport 10’ Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board has an all-around board, there are wide options of activities that you can enjoy. The paddle board can also withstand rocky shores and different weather conditions.

The weight capacity of the board allows paddlers with weights around 280 pounds and below to use it. However, if you are so much lighter than the board, it might not be ideal for you since buoyancy will work positively only if the paddler’s weight is closely proportional to the weight of the board.

The Fbsport 10’ Inflatable Paddle Board is suitable for both beginners and experts alike. It comes with features that allow you to have solid support and security. Aside from the highlighted benefits of the soft and safe deck structure, the three bottom panel fins are also promising features that no paddling enthusiast should miss out on.
