DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Review (2021)
The DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 is a relatively cheap but decent quality cruising-oriented all-around inflatable paddle board. Its maximum weight capacity is 352lbs and thus suitable for even the heavier paddlers given the design, though ideally I’d say the max paddler weight is up to around 290lbs for more comfortable ride. Its construction and customer support seem pretty good for a typical all-around iSUP board at this price range.
For the first time out, SUP’ing poses a sort of fun challenge when it comes to maintaining your stability, and once you’ve overcome that, the exhilarating feeling of falling in is always there which makes the activity itself, although seemingly simple, that much more exciting… But there’s much more to it than just that.

A Quick Overview for the Hasty
The DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 inflatable stand up paddle board measures 10’6″×33″×6″ (length × width × thickness) and weighs 24 pounds. It has a maximum weight capacity of 352 pounds and comes with everything you need to get on the water.
DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP due to its design is a cruising-oriented all-around that is suitable mainly for cruising, but also for yoga, fishing, riding small waves, and other recreational SUP activities. The accessories it comes with include: paddle, pump, backpack, ankle leash, waterproof phone case, drybag, shoulder strap, repair kit, instructions manual, and detachable fins.
Who and What Is the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Designed For?
Who: paddlers weighing up to 352 pounds (ideally 290 pounds)
What: all-around SUP suitable for cruising, fishing, yoga, short-distance touring in flat waters or light chop.
The length/width ratio of the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable SUP makes it rather stable of an all-around which makes it suitable for even the heavier paddlers. Its maximum weight capacity is 352 pounds, but I’d say a more realistic max paddler weight would be 290 pounds. It has a wide standing platform, making it suitable for beginners as well as experienced paddlers looking for more stability rather than maneuverability or full-on speed alone.
I’d call it a cruising-oriented all-around board suitable for various SUP activities, mainly cruising, but also for yoga, fishing, short-distance touring, and recreational paddling in general. It is mainly geared for cruising on calm waters but can also handle some wavy waters or light chop (lakes, streams, seas, etc).
How Does the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Perform?
The DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP Board is mainly:
As was mentioned earlier, the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 is a rather stable of an all-around iSUP due to its width (33 inches) and design (wide rounded squared off tail, rounded nose).
As for speed, you can expect a sort of cruising speed. In other words, I’d describe it as “relaxing pace” and not really one where you can build up awesome racing level speeds when putting some serious effort into paddling. And thus cruising-oriented, at least in my book.
All of that is not to say that the turns aren’t possible with this board. Talking about maneuverability here. You’ll still be able to make quick turns and so on, but not the kind you’d make while surfing (you can still “surf” small waves, but that’s more like just going with the flow rather than making moves against it on the wave). Note however, smaller paddlers find the board more stable and less maneuverable than heavier paddlers. That’s because you’d need to step on the rear of the board to lift the board and then turn, but if you’re not too heavy, it will be harder to make turns like that, naturally. You can still turn it whichever way you like with just the paddle though, as per usual.
What Are the Specifications of the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable SUP Board?
Specifications of the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP Board:
- Type – all-around (cruising oriented)
- Color – blue + white
- Construction – inflatable
- Length – 10’6″
- Width – 33″
- Thickness – 6″
- Weight of the board – 24 pounds
- Weight capacity – 352 pounds
- Material – drop-stitch core with a layer of PVC material and an anti-slip soft EVA foam deck pad.
The DAMA Flywater Single Inflatable SUP Board is an all-around that is geared towards cruising on flat waters. It is also suitable for other SUP activities as an all-around. Regardless of skill level and purpose, it can be used by children, teens, and adults.
This inflatable stand-up paddleboard comes in 1 color combination: blue + white.
The DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP has an inflatable construction. This means it is filled with air, making it durable, easy to deflate and store. It has an Inflation valve at the rear end of the board from where you can pump air into it, and its maximum recommended PSI is 15.
The board is 10 feet and 6 inches long which is not too short nor is it long for entry-level all-around inflatable SUP boards.
The DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP board is 33 inches wide. This makes the board rather stable for even heavier paddlers. However, the stability of wider boards comes at the cost of speed (can’t build up as much speed).
This stand-up paddleboard is 6 inches thick (standard thickness for most iSUP boards). Thicker boards tend to feel more stable and sturdy.
Weight of the board:
The DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 inflatable SUP board weighs 24 pounds. This makes it easy to carry and move around even when inflated.
The reported weight capacity of this stand-up paddleboard is 352 pounds but that doesn’t make it ideal for somebody weighing as much. A more realistic maximum paddler weight is up to around 290 pounds (though you can still store items or ride together with a companion that stays at a lower center of gravity as long as the total weight doesn’t exceed the aforementioned max weight capacity).
The DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 inflatable SUP board is made of a single layer PVC material joined to a fabric with a drop-stitch inner core. There is also a layer of PVC material at the rails and an anti-slip soft EVA foam traction pad on top of the board.
What Is DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable Paddle Board Made of?
DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP board is made of:
- single layer PVC
As was mentioned earlier, the core is made of drop-stitch material surrounded by reinforced fabric material holding the top and bottom half of the single layer PVC together. There’s a single layer of PVC at the rails also. Additionally, PVC layer at both the top/bottom and rails has a final layer of coating further protecting the materials from weather elements (UV rays, temperature, etc – more info on iSUP construction here).
Overall I’d say the construction itself is fairly standard, but the quality decent if not good. It’s more about how well everything is connected together and so on that determines the “quality” of it. DAMA seems to be in control of actually manufacturing many of the boards coming from China, so it’s safe to assume they’ve put extra care into their own branded line of iSUPs.
It’s decent of a cheaper option for general use in calmer waters.
What Are the Features of the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board?
Features of the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable SUP Board:
- Sport camera mount
- Bungee storage systems
- Carry handle
- Deck pad
- D-rings (4)
- Inflation valve
- Rear bungee storage area
- Rear carry handle
- Fins (3)
1 – sport camera mount
Located at the nose of the board is a sport camera mount. You can install your sport camera on the sport camera bracket mount on the top of the Inflatable SUP board. It is located at the nose of the board, enabling you, for example, to record all exciting experience on water. More info on the various SUP accessories.
2- 4-point bungee storage systems
This stand-up paddleboard has 2 storage systems. They are made of durable elastic cord mounted on 4 D-rings and located at the nose and rear of the board. The storage systems allow you store all essential accessories underneath while on water.
3 – carry handle
DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP board has two carry handles, the first one located at the middle of the board on top of the deck pad. This is used mainly for carrying the board when its inflated.
4 – deck pad
This is a diamond-grooved standing platform that is made of non-slip soft EVA foam material. It is comfortable to stand on and enhances grip and balance even when the board is wet.
5 – D-rings (4)
4 D-rings (2 on each side) are located at the middle part of the board. They can be used to attach a kayak seat or storage box when fishing (these are not included in the accessories of the package, but can be bought separately). You can also use it to tie another board to yours when paddling with children or friends.
6 – rear 4-point bungee storage area
Not much different from the nose bungee storage area, except this one is located at the rear of the board. You can store some equipment under it for safekeeping while out paddling. Especially handy for touring, but this one’s not a dedicated touring board, so perhaps some short-distance touring at cruising speeds.
7 – inflation valve
A high pressure inflation valve, an important part of the board, is located at the rear end of the board. This is where you can pump air into the board.
8 – carry handle
This is the second carry handle located at the rear of the board just behind the inflation valve. This can be used for lifting the board up from the water assuming you stood on some sort of a platform, etc.
9 – Fins (3)
The DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 inflatable SUP board has 3 detachable fins; two smaller side fins and a bigger fin between the 2 smaller side fins. The sidefins help with maneuverability while the bigger center fin helps with tracking and stability. Make sure they’re locked in so as to no lose them along the way…
What Else is Included in the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Package?
Apart from the board itself, the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable SUP Board Package comes with everything you need to get on the water. The accessories include: adjustable paddle, high pressure pump, backpack, ankle leash, waterproof phone case, 5L waterproof bag, shoulder strap, repair kit, instructions manual, and detachable fins.
The DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP package comes with a paddle of aluminum alloy hollow design. It is a 3-piece adjustable paddle that fits into the backpack when disassembled. This paddle floats on water, so you don’t have to worry about it sinking when it drops in the water.
High pressure pump
This is a double-action pump that has a pressure gauge on top of it for measuring the amount of air pressure in the board. The maximum recommended PSI is 15 but 12- 14 is also fine. Pumping the board might be quite a workout, but it only takes about 10 minutes to inflate the board.
A simple travel backpack is included in the package. It has straps that enable you carry the whole package with ease. The backpack can contain the deflated and rolled up board alongside other accessories and still have extra room for other things.
The ankle leash is attached to one of the D-rings on the board to keep you connected to it while paddling in case you slip or fall. The leash is coiled so it doesn’t get tangled up while you are paddling.
Waterproof phone case
The package comes with a waterproof phone case which can be attached to one of the D-rings or kept under the bungee storage system. You should test the phone case to see if it’s truly waterproof.
A 5L waterproof bag is also included in the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP package. You can keep materials or things (clothes, drinks, food supplements, mobile devices, etc) you don’t want getting wet while paddling.
The shoulder strap that is included in the package is tied to 2 D-rings on either side of the SUP board. It makes it easier and comfortable to carry the inflated paddleboard before or after paddling.
The board also comes with a repair kit in an orange tube-like container. It holds PVC patches to patch up the board when damaged and a valve wrench that is used to tighten the inflation valve as it may start leaking air due to continuous use.
It contains instructions on how to go about the board and the accessories that comes with it.
Quick tip: it is best to attach the 3 fins when the board is halfway inflated so that they lock in more tightly.
So Is the DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Package for You?
If you’re looking for a stable cruising-oriented all-around that can accommodate paddlers weighing up to 290 pounds then this board can be a great choice on the cheap with decent quality and good customer support. Since the board is wide enough, beginners and experienced paddlers can try fishing and yoga on top of cruising.
However, if you’re looking for a speedy paddleboard or one that is very maneuverable, this might not be the one for you.
Best way to buy stand up paddle boards would be from physical shops. That way you could gain much needed info, advice and tips from the enthusiastic sellers there (assuming they were experts on the field…).
If purchasing from a physical store was not an option, there are still online stores to check out.

The Dama Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP board is not super cheap, but still rather on the cheap end. It’s got a relatively typical but decent quality construction and oriented more for cruising, I’d say, plenty stable, in other words, with cruising speed and all that. It’s suitable even for the heaver paddlers weighing up to around 290lbs (352lbs being the max weight capacity) looking to do some recreational paddling (mainly cruising, but also some yoga, fishing, surfing small waves, short-distance touring, etc) in calmer waters, but also in some chop. The package includes everything you’d need to get on the water.
DAMA Flywater Single 10’6 iSUP package comes with an adjustable paddle, high pressure pump, backpack, ankle leash, waterproof phone case, 5L waterproof bag, shoulder strap, repair kit, instructions manual, and 3 detachable fins.
